Welcome to The Elm Tree

The Elm Tree is a small, exclusive-use wedding venue in Hundleby, near Spilsby, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Set within a beautifully restored Georgian property and English country garden, we specialise in intimate weddings with a choice of indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces.

With on-site accommodation, personal wedding coordination and space for up to 60 guests in summer and 50 in winter, The Elm Tree is designed for couples who want a relaxed and personal celebration rather than a large traditional venue.

Owner, Chef, Funniest man alive!! (That’s his official title) Will always be found in the kitchen making the best Afternoon Teas in Lincolnshire and making us snort with laughter. He is our rock!!

Answers to the questions we get asked the most

Frequently Asked Questions

If you want a formal wedding breakfast, our blue room can hold up to 30 people seated. The panel room next door (which has often been used as the younger person’s table) can comfortably fit an additional 8 seated guests.

For the evening reception, we can welcome up to 60 guests in the summer months, when the garden forms part of the celebration space. During the winter months, our maximum capacity is 50 guests.

Yes. Our Afternoon Teas are created in-house by Christopher. Everything is lovingly and carefully prepared. Niki always checks for dietary requirements in your wedding meetings so if your guests have any specific requirements, let us know then we can cater for them. 

Likewise, with our evening caterers, everyone who works alongside us has an excellent attitude and ability regarding food intolerances and requirements. 

We cannot stress this enough… YES! We love meeting your gorgeous pooches. Chris always has a spare sausage roll for your 4 legged guests.

They are welcome throughout the venue and the gardens are enclosed and safe. We can even close the front gates for those who are more prone to a little wander. 

Absolutely but these rooms are not included in your package price, so you need to consider this when planning your budget.

Please also note that the same guests must be staying in the room for the two nights as we will not be able to turn around the room on the day of the wedding. 

For Micro weddings, we do require a minimum 2 night stay.
