A bijou and stylish little cottage set in a very convenient location in the heart of the genteel village of Snettisham, Sea Holly Cottage, is perfectly situated to explore all that North Norfolk has to offer. With excellent local amenities on the doorstep, this property is the perfect minimoon venue at any time of year.

Tucked away on a small one-way street, this charming brick and carrstone mid-terrace cottage is one of a small row built in 1998. Refurbished in 2023, Sea Holly Cottage now presents as a delightful retreat with a coastal vibe, ideal for a newly married couple, plus a faithful four-legged friend or two. The cottage has a boutique feel, and careful consideration has been given to ensure the décor flows from top to bottom. On the ground floor, the galley kitchen with cool dark units and accessories is well-equipped to provide everything you might need. An open archway leads through to the comfortable sitting room, with dining area, where french doors extend it further into the courtyard garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a large single, both with attractive feature walls complimented with accessories. The beds boast comfy mattresses, and are dressed with feather pillows and duvets wrapped in lovely linen. Both bedrooms are served by a contemporary bathroom, featuring a roll top bath as well as walk-in shower cubicle.

Outside, the courtyard garden is a relaxing, enclosed space, making it an ideal spot for a coffee and a pastry, or delicious snack bought locally. Perhaps share a bottle of wine as the sun sets, after a busy day exploring this fabulous area of Norfolk. It really is the perfect way to spend your first few married days.

The Local Area

The RSPB bird and wildlife reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are worth a visit. Many migratory birds descend there during the winter months and the skeins of geese honking and clattering is one of the iconic Norfolk sights and sounds. Just a shirt drive away, the traditional nearby bustling seaside town of Hunstanton comprises of a vivid plethora of ice cream parlours, delis, fish ‘n’ chip shops, sweet shops, crazy golf, arcades and funfair. Sandringham Estate, the Norfolk home to HM The King is just ten minutes away.

Snettisham has a great pub, The Rose and Crown which serves good food and has an enclosed garden with a children’s adventure play area. The village is well served with amenities including chemist, a local shop, hairdressers and second hand book shop, perfect for browsing away a couple of hours. Sample the culinary delights of The Old Bank Cafe on the market square, and take your own wine at no extra charge. Visit micro bakery and coffee shop The Old Store for the most delicious coffee and freshly baked bread topped with local ingredients – be sure to book as this place is popular at weekends!

You are perfectly placed for the coast – Snettisham has its own beach just two miles from the centre of the village, and just a short drive away is more beautiful Norfolk coastline, including stunning Brancaster, Holme-next-the-Sea and Thornham. Pop in to the Thornham Deli to warm up after your walk and amble around the accompanying lifestyle store. Be sure to visit the impressive beach at Holkham and accompanying parkland.
